Beyond COP
The Beyond COP team started as a collaboration between UNA-USA, UNA Scotland and UN House Scotland. The aim of our events was to invite climate activists and researchers involved with the annual UNFCCC COP. Events were therefore organised after that year’s COP to discuss outcomes and how individuals and organisations could help. A report was published after every event.
Fundraising
The world is in deep trouble. Leaders are forgetting the lessons of two world
wars and reverting to narrow, nationalistic policies that are driving communities apart. We believe in cooperation. If we are to have any hope of solving the
challenges we face, we have to work together. We want to see a world where global citizens are empowered to hold their governments to account, where countries work together for the good of people everywhere and where the UK lives up to its role on the world stage.
Parliamentary Papers and Briefings
The Parliamentary One Pager (POP) is a communiqué linking the UNHS Database of experts with Members of Scottish Parliament (MSPs). UNHS monitors and identifies current key issues circulating through Parliament relevant to UN goals and values– inevitably one or more of the 17 SDGs. Our interns then identify vital questions about the issue and pose them to our SCISA database of experts.
